this took me two days. i think i wrote more in this post than i wrote in total in 2025.

2025 fic rec list!! i had a very strange year this year. relapsed into multiple fandoms, didn't really enter new ones. i have fourteen pages of bookmarks, help.

once again:

- these are MY personal faves. not necessarily something i would rec to someone else. let me be cringe in peace

HSR

surprisingly little HSR this year considering how much i was following the amphoreus storyline releases. i basically have a couple rtrn fic, then phaidei fic from right after 3.0. i'm not sure why i wasn't compelled to read phaidei fic - maybe because i wanted to see how their relationship developed in canon first? or maybe because there was always so much going on in amphoreus i never felt like i wanted to see More.

On the Circumvention of Ethics by chashmish // ratiorine, mixed format, silly
- aventurine and ratio are brought before a judge due to aventurine's suspicious spending history!! (he is buying very expensive gifts for ratio). very silly and cute, love the transcript format, love the way a & r's voices come through the alt format so strongly. it's one of my favorite things about epistolary
à l'outrance by DFP // phaidei, NSFW, silly
- phaidei goading each other into having sex together (first time for both). right after 3.0 all we really knew about phaidei was that they were gay for each other, this fic is great fun

4 Minute Window by Speranza // stucky, how do i even describe this
- the premise of this fic is that there's a 4 minute window every week where steve can slip his handlers and meet with bucky. this entire series is really great, lots of exploration into the role of captain america too.
The Night War: 60th Anniversary Edition by praximeter (Zimario) // bucky centric; bucky's journals during ww2
- THIS FIC REALLY KILLED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the peak of epistolary fiction imo holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!
- once again love the incredibly rich voice that shines through the journal entries. love the cast of ocs that gets built around bucky co. love the Yearning. love how we see the Known Events (steve joining the war, bucky's capture & rescue) play out, and how the author builds a whole timeline of events around it. love to see bucky's descent into becoming a damn good sharpshooter and wrestling with the inhumanity of it. love the last journal entry. heartwrenching all around.
the country they call life by radialarch // cap america quartet, steve & sam & nat & bucky meet briefly to take out a hydra cell
- i have no idea how i found this fic since it's just tagged with characters and no relationships, probably someone's bookmarks. anyway there's a Lot of fic that really dig into all aspects of the cap america gang, but i really like how this one condenses so much of the core of the steve & bucky and steve & sam & nat and nat & bucky into 1.2k words. "Staying doesn't mean a thing if you can't leave."

- i admit. i have a fondness for turned-into-animal scenarios, and i have a major fondness for when it's a cat. i really like this one because steve whump, when he's turned it's into a cat!body that's reflective of his pre-serum stuff. really cute s/b/n getting together as well!!
A History of Birds by OddityBoddity // stucky
- character study centered around birds (charmony dove anyone) and also younger!pierce looking like steve. set in a nebulous post cacw world where steve is taking care of bucky. trust issues, memory bleeding through. short and painful with a sweeter ending.

- honorable mention shoutout to this fic; yuletide is always a great place to read fics about things you've never considered. i really like the travelogue/diary aspect of this. pulling worldbuilding out of paintings is really cool. really incredible prose & syntax.

Conclave

I watched Conclave in theaters early this year, and it was an incredible experience. I didn't end up reading much fic for it for various reasons, but it was fun watching the fandom blow up around it and then the actual conclave happened. Pope Crave you'll always be famous.

Autopsy on the Body of Christ by draculard // benitez character study
- this is definitely a fic where a lot of the Catholicism goes over my head, but it's got gorgeous gorgeous prose and incredibly visceral imagery. really, really good.

Naruto

i think i am never escaping madatobi hell either.

unexpected joy by wakeyama // mdtb, NSFW
- i am shamefully not caught up on this as of the time of writing despite it being possibly one of my favorite mdtb fics ever. trans!madara but it feels integrated very naturally, also the prose is DELICIOUS. izuna lives au, village timeline, so everything is pretty peaceable. i really love the atmosphere of this fic. languid and sly.
remedial sex ed by thegracious // mdtb, NSFW, A/B/O
- self indulgent A/B/O sex comedy fave. i do love silly mdtbs. and also i love fun OCs. i love tbrm being obstinate and silly and stupid about things.
A Bolt of Silk by Tavina // izuna/f!oc
- another sleeper fave?? i am usually not a fan of oc ships, but i think this fic was written incredibly well and the storyline and character/relationship development were super interesting and engaging. and i really liked how this story handled the senju too; with the uchiha being the "protagonists" of the story, i was worried the whole Thing wouldn't be handled well (this is common in senju-centric fic which also bugs me :( ), but it was very nuance. and i really love that the emperor played a role too? usually people just pretend that there is no emperor or royal court or whatever but this fic not only widens the world into the civilians (the oc is a civilian merchant) but also brings in the daiymo and the emperor. very very cool.
all our sins remembered by ZamalV // madatobi, prisoner of war au
- LOVE!!!!!!!!!! this fic. the uchiha are able to capture an injured tobirama. he becomes their POW and a bargaining ship for peace. love the way the politicking is written in this fic, and love the way the mdtb relationship starts out wary and antagonistic and continues that way for some time. really delicious prose and character writing. also shamefully behind on this one!!!

- peace au, izuna lives; this one is silly and quite sweet! established relationship mdtb but mdr needs to be convinced of tbrm's commitment. everything zamaiv writes is banger.

- peace au, izuna lives; this one is really sweet but also a little angsty. established relationship mdtb; mdr is MIA on a mission that seems to have gone violently, tbrm copes through the endless weeks of bad news by falling into the bureaucracy of filing reports about it while repressing all his emotions. also mixed media/epistolary through mission reports. love it. really love the ending.
those who live by the sword by codedredalert // madara & tobirama
- canon-verse; ficlet; LOVE the impact this fic has. tobirama approaches madara asking him to cede leadership of the village on the eve of the hokage election. love the conversation they have, love the undercurrent of tension (not the sexy kind). love the fucked up things madara says.
Traditional by wafflelate // shikako & tobirama
- i like reading dreaming of sunshine stuff that's set in founders era, wafflelate's shikakos especially are really fun. i like tobirama being put into Situations, and this one definitely has him in one (just escaped from prison with a cheerful nara, and then Uchiha Fucking Izuna strolls up to sit at their table)
on falconry by coire-non (AortaArgent) & rebound by coire-non (AortaArgent) // madatobi, NSFW
- putting these together because they both share the theme of madatobi & kink stuff. actually everything coire-non write i eat up. really love the explorations and discussions of intimacy in these fic!!!

Working For The Knife by Name_Changed_For_Legal_Reasons // naruto & svsss crossover; shang qinghua reincarnates as itachi's cousin (the role of uchiha izumi)
- this one is on the list more for being interesting; there aren't that many chapters out yet. i am partial to a clever crossover fic, and i'm really interested to see how this one goes.
Ends of the Earth by Valiant_Effort // gen, wilderness survival
- i really have no idea how i found this fic but i'm so glad i did. sakura & ino & kakashi & kisame & itachi get warped to the arctic circle and have to survive and find a way home. i LOVE fics that dig their claws into environmental prose, i love reading people wax poetic about nature and their surroundings, and this fic is like a love letter to the arctic. plus bonus for throwing together an interesting group of characters in a wilderness survival situation and seeing how they interact. definitely a sleeper fave of the year.
what a pain by theformerone // sakushika, roleswap au where ino defects and becomes a missing-nin
- this one kinda hurted ngl but it's so interesting!!! i love roleswap aus. i love when side characters get the spotlight. i love twisting the canon narratives and circumstances to make more sense for ino's character and why she would defect. i wanted to read so much more of this concept.

Durarara
i did have a brief durarara relapse. i read this really long and elaborate death game/stranded on an island shizaya fic but it was just a little too bizarre to me to bookmark. however, it was really good and ambitious so i will toss it here as a shoutout: A Cheap Imitation by Spoontastic

Jazz and Honey in the Twenty-Third Century by threesmallcrows // drrr & baccano crossover
- celty lives far into the future; meets the baccano cast of immortals; ruminates on grief and living after grief. i really liked this crossover and the exploration of a meeting of immortals and all that entails.

- loveeee fic where jin ling has to grapple with both his memories of and history with jgy alongside the legacy he leaves behind. how to sort through the grief and everything else. and the jgy wwx parallels...
Down To The Marrow by Tavina // jiang cheng & f!oc
- i guess tavina hooked me with the f!oc fics this year. i like this one; f!oc is a prostitute, jiang cheng visits her once a quarter mostly to drink tea and converse and watch her dance. this is a short fic, i really like the way the f!oc's character is sketched out in so little time, and how we're given glimpses into the fleeting relationship they've had over the years. a little bittersweet.
a lifetime of good scenery by Tavina // genderswap yunmeng trio
- love a good genderswap, and this also necessitates roleswap too!! jiang yanli is sect leader, has an awful sworn brotherhood with jin zixuan. really love the dynamics in this fic, very tasty to chew on.

Ghost Flower, Ghost Feast by madmaenad // su mucheng joins void AU, smc & void, lx & wyc
- smc transferring to void during season 8 -- really good!!! beautiful explorations of smc, team void's dynamics, smc's relationships with EE and YX and her new ones with void. really liked the plotline about lx & wyc's relationships too. and the meta about launchers.
all you who are weary and burdened by Fayah // ye xiu retires first in season 7; yele
- i definitely read this before but reread it again and bookmarked it properly :> really liked the explorations into the methods of yx vs zjl's retirements new and old.

first and only new fandom of the year???? i actually struggled a lot with finding yohaji fic i liked, no one has written the highly complicated and pretentious seimei & ranmaru/douman character/relationship study fic i really want to read yet </3

- school au but i'm suspicious about it being a stealth reincarnation au. i like the way douman's Seimei Complex is explored here and mapped to a school au, i like the ranmaru & douman interactions! i like ranmaru's feelings about seimei coming to the surface in fleeting moments before being whisked away.

- alhaitham swaps places with a younger self in the middle of an argument with kaveh. he swaps to a time right before student!haikaveh has their big breakup. lots of really good character exploration and also delicious "time swap" shenanigans.

i have no memory of what made me start missing fe3h and sylvix again. started around thanksgiving and basically went through the sylvix tag nonstop to the end of the year. the good thing about not having read fe3h for five years is there's so much new fic!! and i can reread fic i've already read before for basically the first time again because i'd forgotten i read it at all :)

i really liked a lot of the fic i read, so for my sanity i will do my best to cut down my shortlist

first, everything by desmodus i really enjoyed. they have a way of writing sylvain and felix (and dimitri!!) that just lights up my brain with each and every word. personal faves from this author:

signal fires by desmodus // sylvix, angst
- post-canon; felix sleepwalks, sleeptalks, and has nightmares. really liked this exploration of post-war trauma and how it manifests in felix. his guilt, his fear, his inability to leave the past behind (despite being adamant that he can). really loved the creeping sense of dread as his sleepwalking got worse and worse. really liked sylvain confronting him about it, and the ending scene.
bathe a body by desmodus // sylvix, angst, h/c
- post-canon; sylvain is away on a sreng mission and returns to a felix that has changed. love this so much. so much sylvain angst. so much yearning. love the way this fic captures the feeling of unfamiliarity where you expected the opposite, and love how sylvain is so shaken up by it and spirals into self destruction about it, but also felix knows him well enough and won't let him!!!

suppose you are returning by desmodus // sylvix, war phase
- once again desmodus is sooo good at writing yearning. yearning out the wazoo. sylvain getting jealous of felix having partners (sylvain has not made his feelings clear to felix) and is pathetic about it. i think of this fic as cute despite it having some Stressful moments.
up against and for by desmodus // dimisylvix but like nothing is resolved
- hasn't been updated since 2021...painege...i really like this. it's canon-verse, felix-centric, really angsty actually. felix's Dimitri Thing (unresolved), felix and sylvain's Things About Each other (unresolved), this is pre-dimitri's clarity so he's still being a boar and it doesn't help anything. character study, relationship study, faerghus study.
all circuits are busy by desmodus // sylvix, modern AU, NSFW
- HONESTLY SO CUTE. sex comedy ish, felix is away for a family vacation, they keep trying and failing to sext. full of sweet and sappy feelings. desmodus is so good at writing these guys head over heels in love.
put some goddamn moves on you by desmodus // sylvix, post-canon
- asking, not asking, and answering the question "what are we". another banger iteration of sylvix is So Deeply In Love but Miscommunicating About It. sylvain pov yearning. i really like felix in this one too - desmodus is really good at writing "knows what he wants"!felix in general but it's really great in this one.

- repairman felix au :]; sylvain comes in to be repaired :]
- the plot twist is not too surprising but it was enjoyable to experience!!! and i love snippets of fucked up worldbuilding looming in the background. would love to read more full aus from this author.

merionettes is another author i devoured

- i've reread this fic sooo many times. this fic is a liked it so much i downloaded it fic. BONUS that it's holiday/winter themed and i read it & reread it around christmas/new years many times
- felix invites sylvain to fraldarius for the first solstice celebrations he's presiding over as duke. sylvain proceeds to Experience Being Loved And Cherished
- very sweet. love the descriptions of celebration and food and the worldbuilding about this holiday. love the differences between fraldarius' and gautiers' celebrations. love how tender and full of love this fic is. love the cast of ocs that fill out the cast and how they all contribute to the feeling of family. just thinking about it is making me tear up a little :')
it's a long way down (from here to the sound) by merionettes // modern au, sylvix, dimiglenn
- also reread this fic so many times. i'm insane over merionettes' OC glenn fraldarius who is not dead. another "i liked it so much i downloaded it to read offline" fic. glenn, a summer intern at a law firm, housesits and babysits felix and friends for the summer.
- i think this fic hits what i LOVE about modern au fics, especially modern au fe3h fics where glenn is alive. i especially love how they've written glenn here. he is a perfect combination of older brother, sociable and friendly on the outside but still retaining the characteristics we know about him (loyal, sarcastic, rude, talented).
- LOVE his relationship with felix in this fic. love how much they love each other but still have room to grow with each other. really loved their their relationship arc. love him being the Fun Older Sibling to felix's friends - all the dynamics were so fun.
- loved how glenn being a lawyer intern was relevant to the plot and to the "glenn fraldarius" character they've crafted. would read 10000 million more words in this au.
rubicon by merionettes // modern au, figure skating au, sylvix, sylvain & dorothea
- this fic is so long and so intense but SO COOL. i have dabbled in following figure skating but merionettes is wayyy more knowledgable. i caught some references to RL skaters but i'm sure most of them went over my head.
- sylvain & dorothea are an ice dance pair. felix is a singles skater on a comeback mission. a whole lot happens in this fic. i think the relationships in this fic, how they're introduced and grow and change and develop is really the highlight of this fic (although the deep integration and understanding of competitive figure skating is EXTREMELY impressive and not something anyone can do).
- i REALLY like the sylvain & dorothea relationship. i like how they are so important to each other, i like how sylvain still has a lot of his flaws and neuroses but he & dorothea make each other better. he tries so hard to be better because of her. i like the way the sylvix develops. i like the relationships they have outside of each other - the supporting cast and their spotlights never felt boring or frustrating. i like the dimitri & felix relationship and how that changes over the course of the fic. and felix & rodrigue. aughhh there's just so much incredible writing in this fic from all angles. i really like the way the fic ends too, it's a little heart-hurt but it caps off sylvain's character arc so well. man. man!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- dare i say this is my heated rivalry (wrong sport but STILL)

i call this section "felix and/or sylvain experience accidental child acquisition". there were more fics here but i cut it down.

sylvix child acquisition rambling

i Love a specific flavor of child acquisition fics for sylvix. i think my personal favorite headcanon is a combination of the first one on this list and one i haven't listed (biological felix kid + acquiring miklan's kid).

to ME felix being the one having a biological kid of out wedlock is the peak of comedy, and i LOVE sylvain wrestling with raising his brother's child. bonus points if miklan's child has a crest. it's very important to me both children are daughters. girldad sylvixes for the win. i really love vwyn19's girldad sylvixes artwork especially the one where their daughter smacks sylvain in the knees with the crest of fraldarius

about miklan; i don't think it's possible with canon timelines and also just the way he's so awful and evil in fe3h, but i did briefly rotate in my mind a miklan that WAS still an awful guy to sylvain but somehow semi-functionally raised a child. there were a lot of things i had rotate to get to that point so it's never going to be written or shared anywhere BUT i just think!!!! sylvain should go through the agonies of reconciling the miklan he knew and the miklan who raised a child that turned out pretty okay and doesn't really have the parental abuse trauma sylvain would have expected. and what kind of place that child would have in the fraldarius-gautier household. if the child is crested, what does that mean for the gautier inheritance?

[really off topic rambling now]
there was a really interesting modern au fic i read along this concept too which i enjoyed, but i didn't bookmark it for other reasons. it was about adult!sylvix, post sylvain going no-contact with his family, only for them to reach out because miklan got married and had a child and the wife + child wanted to meet him. and miklan and his wife seemed to be working out pretty well, and miklan seemed to be on a journey to be a better person. but this didn't change the fact that miklan was awful awful awful to sylvain before the no-contact, so where do you even go from here? i liked the conclusion for that fic where like. they tried to meet as adults and it was so strange and uncomfortable and it ends with sylvain deciding he still doesn't want anything to do with his brother or his parents. but he's open to building a relationship with the wife and child. idk, i thought that was a pretty realistic way to approach this situation - i don't know if i could have accepted a miklan who whole-heartedly apologized or a sylvain who accepted it.

Sassafras and Summer Shandy by foux_dogue // sylvix, post-war, established sylvix
- felix being the one who has an illegitimate child instead of sylvain is always so so funny to me. felix has a consensual and mutually disinterested one-night stand at the end of the war, they part ways to never see each other again, only whoops there is now a little fraldarius-crested girl running around!! the mother is a minor noblewoman herself and is happy to raise the child herself, but dies in an accident so the child is brought to felix
- i really like this one because i thought the mother oc was fleshed out pretty well for her background character/dead-before-the-story status. i liked the child oc, i like felix and sylvain both navigating their feelings on a Child Who Is Now Theirs. i always think it's cute when the fraldarius genes are so strong, and how sylvain can so easily draw similarities between felix and a five year old. this one is really great too because there aren't really any negative feelings between felix/sylvain and the mother or the child, so the tone can be sweeter and more lighthearted.
Conception by eyegnats; sylvain/ingrid, sylvixgrid, sylvain/yuri; post-canon
- this fic is insane!!! i don't think i can reread it any time soon it actually kind of hurts my heart despite having a pretty happy ending. tl;dr is this is a fic that explores a) sylvain's thing about Children and Heirs and Crested Heirs b) ingrid's thing about Children and Heirs and Crested Heirs and c) faerghus' thing about Children and Heirs and especially Crested Heirs.
- i really like this fic because i like how it starts off sooo happy like sylgrid WANT children and sylvain is so happy having a huge family and being a better father than his own and raising his children but then you get into the sudden appearance of an illegitimate gautier son (who has a claim to birthright due to being oldest, a man, and crested despite being illegitimate) and THENNN the fic really starts to dig into all of faerghus' fucked up stuff about lineage and legacy!!! and gender roles and sylvain & ingrid's different brands of Familial Trauma and what family means to all these people!!!! the fic i never knew i needed.
- bonus for sylvixgrid (consensual and wanted) threesome which results in a fraldarius child who everyone pretends is sylgrid's still. incredible stuff.

sylvix / related:

Assignation by EtherealWill // sylvix, claudelix
- incredibly funny fic. claudelix have one (1) liason during the war. post-war, claude uses this fact to poke fun at sylvain who is obviously pining after felix but they are not together yet. sylvain is jealous.
- i think my favorite thing about this fic is a) belivable claudelix one night stand set-up and b) sylvain listing all of claude's negative points except he's kind of describing himself and felix is the equivalent of the raised eyebrow emoji.
death by a thousand cuts by etiamnox // sylvix, war phase
- this hurted me... sylvain runs off in the middle of the war and gets hooked on drugs and does sex work to pay for it :( felix goes to find him and has to pull him out of the situation.
- i really like this fic because a) sylvain whump and also b) felix through his actions reassures sylvain again and again that he won't abandon him and he won't leave and he won't give up and he'll see sylvain at his worst and still want to stay. i like when sylvix reaffirm themselves to each other like this :]
muddy and foxgloved by brightlight // sylvix, academy phase to post-canon
- genuinely shocked this doesn't have more kudos. i think it's because it was posted all at once and not chapter by chapter. if i didn't persist in trawling through the sylvix tag page by page i would NOT have found it and that would have been so sad. to ME this is an instant sylvix classic. i also downloaded this and read it multiple times.
- slowburn, getting together, character/relationship study of sylvix and the people around them from childhood to post-war. this is such a generic explanation but GOD this fic does character & relationship exploration so well. beautiful prose. they grow old together :')

- nasty reunion sex. lots of yearning. this one stands out to me also because of the way it handles Felix's Dimitri Thing (positive). really sweet.

- this one is also about Felix's Dimitri Thing but it's PAINFUL AND SAD INSTEAD!!! established sylvix but also dimilix are having a un(?)intentional emotional affair and sylvain is sad and pathetic about it. hair ribbon symbolism man.
learning to give by unraelated // NSFW, dimiclaude, sylvix
- this fic took me so long to read out of 2nd hand embarassement but it's so good. no one reads this post anyways so it's going on here for the record. sylvix is trying do to D/s stuff but they are Not Good At It; felix asks claude for advice; dimiclaude give a demonstration. character/relationship exploration through porn my beloved.

- no garreg mach au. i love deep dives into faerghus' fucked up culture!!!!!!!! i love watching kiddo!f4 experience fucked up things!!!! ughh i love how the kiddo's views and especially how they see how sylvain is affected by miklan collide with and scrape against their parents' generations adherence to faerghus' culture. rodrigue's role in the story really hurts i think; he's usually positioned as the "kinder" father when compared to the margrave, but he's so deeply entrenched everything he says and does just drives home how fucked up everything is and how the kiddos have no allies in the adults.

- this fic really breaks my heart because it's marked as complete but it's really not. it's like a part 1 and there is no sign of a part two :( the concept is INCREDIBLE though and i'm honestly shocked there aren't more similar fic
- BE (or is it)!Sylvain, AM!Felix/Route, except Sylvain is a Fraldarius prisoner and lives in the Fraldarius basement for generations after becoming a vampire due to TWSITD experiments, and each generation of Fraldariuses becomes his keeper.
- And then bam reincarnation AU current generation is Glenn and Felix again. Glenn and Dimitri go missing, Felix pulls Sylvain out of the basement and has him help look for the missing boys.
- Love this concept. Love it so much.

- this fic really hurted me too...i always think that i don't want to read CF route fics where one or both are BE but some of them are so good. i will continue to inflict self damage.
- CF!Sylvain, BL!Felix, Empire wins, Sylvain pleads for the remaining Blue Lions' lives and they retain their lives but are under house arrest essentially. What follows is grappling with deserter!sylvain, and the way war has affected all of them.
- things i like about this fic: felix's mom & his homecoming scene; the scene where felix's mom explains that sylvain literally came and begged on his knees in front of her for her & fraldarius to bend the knee to the empire so he could argue for sparing her and felix's life [this is the scene that sticks in my mind the most tbh especially the fact that felix is hearing this 2nd handed from his mom]; learning the kind of man & soldier sylvain has become & the reputation he's gained under CF route & thinking about the similarities & differences of an AM!Sylvain; felix & the surviving blue lions grappling with a sylvain who betrayed them but is still trying to protect them; grappling with grief and love and all its iterations from people on opposite sides of the war.

- way post-canon where mc is the new secretary to a very old ferdie who is doing Government Beauracracy things. really nice use of 2nd person pov.
- this is a really bittersweet fic; ferdie and lin are old, old men now, and the fic takes careful pains to showcase the unerring passage of time. the development of technology; mentions of old classmates famous and not who had passed away before mc's time
The Hunter, The Beast by unraelated // dimiclaude (?)
- claude who is captured and brainwashed by TWSTID into a hunting dog basically. he's sent to hunt down dimitri who is in hiding after losing the war. VW bad end.
- love this brand of fucked up. love claude's instincts and cleverness and skill and talent corrupted and honed into the enemy's weapon. love the chase scene. delicious whump.
Hilda Valentine Goneril's Declassified Guide to Insta-Blocking by librarybooks // college/influencer AU, hilda & sylvain
- i really wasn't expecting to like this fic as much as i did. college au, influencer/internet celebrities hilda & sylvain start to collab after a chaotic first meeting and end up becoming really good friends
- i really adore the hilda & sylvain friendship in this fic. i like how they are so chaotic together. i really like how it stays staunchly platonic and yet they still develop such a deep relationship.
- i loveee the supporting cast too. i love the social media aspects of this fic. i like how it is so silly and pretty over the top and yet there's still a suprising amount of introspection woven into the fic. i'm really interested in seeing where the author is going with this though like the cliffhanger at the end of the currently out chapters can play out so many ways and then after that what's going to happen!!!! how is their overall arc going to conclude!!!!!
- i am concerned about the copious amounts of alcohol consumed in this fic though. i think the partying culture in this fic is kind of the Address Me Elephant in the room.
